A year ago I made about ten ribbon pins similar to these ones shown here. I made them to have a little extra something pretty to sell at a craft fair I did. I needed an excuse to pair up pretty ribbons and buttons without having to commit to a baroque ball gown.

I sold a couple of them at the fair and then put the rest out in our store when we opened it six months later. I have sold most of them so I whipped up a new batch. I have to admit that I was surprised I sold so many of them. Not because I don't think they're pretty, but because I made them on such a whim-without planning and thought.

I'm even happier with this group because the backs look more professional. Plus, that orange ribbon is just so yummy.

I have so many projects I'm simultaneously working on, (like every other creative human being out there!), it's satisfying when I can complete one.

I might try to make some of these into barettes. It's too bad no one uses shoe clips anymore because these would be so lovely on a pair of black velvet Louis heels.
